I am a recent graduate from Southern Oregon University with a BFA in directing and a double minor in screenwriting and digital cinema. Throughout my life, I have always known that directing is my calling. With my love of the mysterious combined with my passion for whimsy, my art tends to reflect intrinsic concepts that go beyond the surface, all the while being portrayed in a glimmering lens of curiosity. I hope that my narrative structures act as a trademark to my work, as I construct storytelling through visual content and emotional connect
I truly believe that the best part of directing is all the teamwork involved in the process, and the chance to combine everyones’ artistic abilities to create a story with heart. If someone can walk out of the theater after viewing a film of mine with the feeling of introspection, then I will have reached my goal.

On a November night in 2011, 6 friends gather for a party one night at Cynthia’s house during their Thanksgiving break of various college years. Having all known each other for quite some time, there is much history, and much drama to gab about. As the party gets going, they each begin to realize that something is not quite right. Whether that be the nature of their friendships, the inevitable fact that they are all growing apart, or maybe something much more sinister. A coming of age comedy with an unexpected twist, “The Minds We Had” fleshes out all these concepts in a personified coming of age comedy. Written by Sam Lucas, adapted and directed by Danielle Silkes.

We are currently in the process of submitting ‘The Minds We Had’ to film festivals! This project was entirely self-funded, which was a major expense. The festivals also come at a costly price, so we would greatly appreciate any and all help we can receive to get this film to as many viewers as possible!
